Lloyd Morrisett, The co-founder of Sesame Workshop, died yesterday at 93.
His co-creator Joan Ganz Cooney said there would be no "Sesame Street" without Morrisett and it was he who came up with the idea of using TV to teach preschoolers basic skills.
The Sesame Workshop released a statement saying, “A Lifetime Honorary Trustee, Lloyd leaves an outsized and indelible legacy among generations of children the world over, with ‘Sesame Street’ only the most visible tribute to a lifetime of good work and lasting impact.”
