The Cavs were on the way to a blow out loss in Philadelphia tonight until a 4th quarter run got them back in it and within four points of the lead, but in the end MVP candidate Joel Embiid and company were just a little to much as they came away with a 118-112 win. In the win Embiid scored 29 points and reached the 10,000 career point mark becoming the fastest to do so in 76ers history.

For the Cavs, Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 33 points, Darius Garland added 27, and Evan Mobley pitched in with 23. The loss snaps the Cavs 7 game win streak and the overall record goes to 38-23. Meanwhile Philadelphia improves to 38-19 on the season as the two teams currently hold the third and fourth spots in the Eastern Conference standings. Next game for the Cavs is after the All Star break next Thursday with the Denver Nuggets coming to Cleveland.
