Dallas- The Cavaliers led by Donovan Mitchell jumped out to a 21 point first half lead against the Mavericks tonight in Dallas. Mitchell poured in 27 points anchoring a 17-0 Cavs run in the second quarter, and a 60-41 lead at halftime.

Dallas got back into it in the 2nd half led by superstar Luka Doncic getting within 9 points of the lead, but a late surge by the Cavs pushed the lead back out to 15 after three quarters of play.

In the fourth quarter the Cavs came up with some big stops and timely buckets to close out the a dangerous Mavs squad on the road by a final score of 105-90. A key contributor down the stretch was Lamar Stevens who scored a season high 18 points just 5 shy of his career high 23. Donovan Mitchell finished with 37 points to lead the way, Mobley and Allen each chipped in with 14 points.

The Cavaliers improve to 18-11 on the season, Dallas now 14-14 on the season, as these two teams will do battle again in less than 72 hours on Saturday at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
