The Cavaliers were on a mission on Friday night when they hosted the visiting Detroit Pistons. JB Bickerstaff's squad locked it down on defense, forcing rookie Cade Cunningham into 7 turnovers on their way to a 96-76 win over the Pistons.

Cavaliers rookie big man Evan Mobley was a problem for Detroit, blocking 3 shots in what was an impressive defensive effort. Darius Garland led the charge offensively with 21 points on 8-14 shooting, with 7 assists to go with it.

The Cavaliers will rest up and prepare for the Boston Celtics on Saturday night. Tip-off is set for 8:00 pm ET at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
