Cavaliers Notch First Win with 101-95 Win Over Hawks

CLEVELAND, OH -- The Cleveland Cavaliers hung around in the first half and found themselves down by just 3 points at half. Coach Bickerstaff seemed to fire his squad up at halftime as the Cavaliers outscored the visiting Hawks 31-17 in the third quarter. Cleveland fended off a late surge by the Hawks to secure the 101-95 win, marking their first win of the young season.

Ricky Rubio showed true veteran leadership leading the Cavaliers to a hard fought win. The savvy vet scored 23 points while dropping 8 assista and 6 boards. Cavaliers rookie Evan Mobley recorded a double double with 17 points and 11 boards, including 4 blocks to go with it.

The Cavaliers will begin a west coast trip with a matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm ET at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
