Cavaliers Knock Off Hawks 99-96 in Preseason Showdown

ATLANTA, GA -- The Cleveland Cavaliers were looking to improve off of a blowout loss in what was their first preseason game of the season. Cleveland came out continuing to struggle to limit turnover, turning the ball over 5 times in the opening quarter. Coach Bickerstaff utilized size to bully the Hawks, leading the Cavaliers to a 99-96 win on Wednesday evening in the ATL.

The young bull Collin Sexton led all CAvaliers in scoring with 19 points, while shooting 7-17 from the field. Cleveland rookie 7-footer Evan Mobley came one bucket shy of a double-double, roping in 10 boards while blocking two shots.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will continue the preseason on Friday night when they will host the Indiana Pacers. Tip off is set for 7:00 at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
