DALLAS, TX -- The Mavericks are in the midst of a battle to avoid the play-in tournament in the Western Conference, and showed just hwo hungry they were on Friday night against the visiting Cavaliers. Luka Doncic led the charge for the Mavs in just 23 minutes of play, later resting as he watched his Mavericks cruise to a 110-90 win over the scuffling Cavaliers.
The Dallas Mavericks did not trail in the game after going ahead 4-2, showing complete dominance right from the tip. Dallas' young superstar led the Mavericks in scoring with 24 points. Mavs winger Tim Hardaway jr scorched the net for 20 points, while shooting an efficient 50% from the field.
The Young Bull Collin Sexton led all scorers with 27 points on 9 of 18 shooting. Cleveland forward Cedi Osman has found his rhythm, scoring 22 points as he shot with confidence throughout the game.
The Cavaliers will take on the Mavericks on Sunday for the second time in as many days. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm ET at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
