The "Unsavory Boys Club" aka NFL Owners and lapdog Commissioner should be the real stories behind the new CBA which was ratified by 60 votes and even more so the 500 union members NOT voting should leave anyone associated with the game shaking their head. This deal runs through 2030 and of course we will notice expanded playoffs immediately and a 17 game season in 2021 but will Browns center and President of the NFLPA JC Tretter truly be able to keep the peace with critics such as Aaron Rodgers and Russell Okung? JC can always fall back on the "votes are in and 500 of you refused or were too stupid to cast ballots" but will there be harmony and not discord? Two things stand out to me - many players asked to change their votes and were told NO and minimum salaries increase at least $90,000 per player starting this year. That seems a paltry figure with your shelf life lowered due to an extra regular season game. Yes indeed some players will make crazy money and here's hoping they can count to ten and walk up a flight of stairs when they are 45 years old. Owners, commish...you win again.
