Doctors at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas have successfully separated 16-week old conjoined twins.Â
AmieLynn and JamieLynn Finley were delivered by C-Section in early October and were joined at the abdomen.
Their dad, James Finley says it was a joy to see his daughters in separate beds, laying on their backs for the first time.
The eleven-hour surgery took place Monday and involved 25 doctors and nurses who trained extensively leading up to the operation.
Everyone involved in the procedure is optimistic about the twins' recovery.
