Hot Bat Summer! Tribe Light it Up Against Twins 7-4 Tuesday Night

CLEVELAND--On April 27, 2021, the high temperature was 81 degrees in Downtown Cleveland (it snowed six days ago). The bats followed in favor of the Cleveland Indians who has won the first two game of this series against the under-performing Minnesota Twins 7-4.

Twins jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Then it became the Ramirez-Reyes show.

Willians Astudillo of the Twins had a RBI single to tie the game in the 4th inning at 3-3. Then Reyes lit the ball up again in the 6th inning for his 2nd homer.

Jake Bauers has struggled all season, batting .167 in 2021 as the Indians attempt to find a solution at 1st base. Tonight, he had his 2nd RBI of the season. He also had two hits tonight.

Aaron Civale (4-0) gets the win as he settled in after the two run first inning, pitching 7.2 innings. James Karinchak (2) gets the save as the Twins struggled in the late innings.

Twins who were expected to contend in the AL Central has dropped 13 of their last 15 games and hold one of the worst records in baseball. Tribe meanwhile is now back to .500 (11-11).
